Sightseeing Notes: Cherry Blossom Village

I don't think I've ever seen a town as lovely or as sad as Cherry Blossom Village. This area was once a gorgeous and peaceful community nestled amongst the cherry trees, where villagers lived in harmony with nature. Now the villagers have mostly fled their homes. A group of goat-like monsters has taken over all but a small corner of the village, which is little more than a military outpost manned by Templars and Clerics. A crystal at the center of the new village provides healing to the troops. A kind and generous Cleric called Bia also treats those villagers who are still stuck outside the safe zone, though she rarely has enough herbs to go around.

The surrounding countryside is beautiful and full of mystery. The other day I spotted a strange swing hanging between two bent cherry trees. One of the Templars at the village told me that the swing was made for a princess long ago. She was very sickly and could not swing for long before growing tired and thirsty. However, the more she drank from the nearby spring, the stronger she became. After many years she regained her strength and grew up to become a wise and noble queen. Generations of local children played on the swing until monsters drove everyone away.
